Submission Sunday 10.1.23: Links
The latest links roundup of articles and posts on submitting and writing in general
Happy Sunday, writers! I hope the words have been flowing and the submissions have been received with appreciation. It is somehow October! Because there are a lot of October 1 deadlines out there, I’ve added some publications to the upcoming deadlines list at the bottom of this post. If you have something(s) ready to send by the end of the day, blitz!
The most exciting news I want to recognize is that the Writers Guild of America reached an agreement to successfully end their strike after 148 days. Well done, all!
For our next links roundup, I’m clearing out some articles I’ve had open in my tabs that I hope you’ll enjoy. We’ve got some new book excerpts, when not to enter contests, how to plan your own writing retreat, recommendations for Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, some thoughts on self-publishing, and more. Here we go.
